User Safety and Protection Policy
1. Scope and Limits of Protection
This Policy explains the precautions and reporting mechanisms applicable to Users of Celaeno. Online communication involves risks, including impersonation, financial scams, harassment, misuse of photographs and disclosure of personal information. Celaeno may use verification, moderation and reporting mechanisms, but no verification or moderation process can eliminate every risk.
The Company will comply with obligations imposed on it by applicable law and commitments expressly made in its policies. It does not guarantee the identity, intentions, financial position or future conduct of every User or Influencer and cannot guarantee that every harmful act will be detected or prevented.
2. Personal and Financial Safety
Users should exercise caution before sharing telephone numbers, home addresses, workplace information, identity documents, bank details or precise location. They should never disclose an OTP, password, banking PIN or other authentication credential merely because another User claims it is required for verification, trust or relationship purposes. Requests to install unfamiliar applications, click suspicious links, make urgent payments or move conversations elsewhere without a clear reason should be treated cautiously.
Users should not feel compelled to continue a conversation, meet someone in person or disclose information because they have paid for a service or have communicated for a long time.
Celaeno does not guarantee that another User is financially sound or will fulfil a financial promise. Users should exercise caution before transferring money, making investments or providing financial assistance to someone they have met through the Platform. Money transferred outside a supported Platform payment process is not guaranteed to be recoverable by Celaeno.
3. Photographs, Location and Harassment
Users must not misuse another person's photographs, publish private messages or disclose personal information without the necessary rights and lawful basis. A User who discovers that their photograph or identity has been misused should report the account or content and provide reasonable supporting information.
Threats to publish private photographs, reveal personal details or cause harm unless money or another benefit is provided should be reported promptly. Celaeno may restrict an account, remove content, preserve relevant records or report suspected unlawful conduct to competent authorities where required or lawfully permitted.
Users should understand that Celaeno cannot guarantee that another person will not copy or disclose information voluntarily shared directly with that person. However, voluntary disclosure does not authorise the recipient to engage in stalking, threats, blackmail or other unlawful conduct.
4. Suicide and Self-Harm
Content encouraging suicide, self-harm or harm to another person may be reviewed and restricted in accordance with applicable law and the Platform's safety procedures. Where a communication reasonably indicates an immediate risk, Celaeno may take proportionate protective steps within its available capabilities, including restricting harmful content and providing appropriate support information where feasible.
Celaeno is not a medical provider, crisis counselling service or emergency response service. It cannot guarantee that it will identify every warning sign or prevent every incident.
5. Reporting and Protective Action
Reports may be submitted through the in-app reporting mechanism or by email to safety@celaeno.in provided in the application. Users should identify the relevant account, describe the incident and provide available supporting evidence without sharing unnecessary sensitive information.
Celaeno may take temporary or permanent action depending on the seriousness of the concern, the available information, the risk of further harm and applicable law. Temporary restrictions may be imposed while an investigation is ongoing where reasonably necessary to protect Users, secure accounts or preserve evidence. Where appropriate and lawful, a User affected by an enforcement decision may request review through an Email.
Celaeno cannot guarantee that a report will result in a particular outcome, recovery of money or property, identification of an anonymous person or prevention of future misconduct.
